The Border Witness Program provides a powerful, first-hand look at the human experience behind the issues as well as a critical, analytical look at the systemic issues contributing to the complexity of migration and immigration at the US-Mexico border.

I am a Cuban who had the opportunity to participate in two programs: A leadership program and a staff development program. For me the workshops provided useful and necessary tools. In addition, these experiences changed my paradigm of being a leader and leadership. It gave me the tools to be resilient and to help others.
My experience at the Stuart Center was a very welcome one. Not only did we work on the theme of “Global Citizenship.” We shared experiences among all those present and, in a very short time, beautiful ties of fraternity were created. The youth program has provided the opportunity for training and guidance to youth committed to systemic change to their communities. At the same time ARISE staff have been trained to continue with the Summit Leadership Training in order to prepare youth as new leaders.
