Pilgrimages of the Heart
Pilgrimage of the Heart: McAllen, Texas
March 27 – April 1, 2026
The Rio Grande River has long been seen as a dividing line between the United States and Latin America. Yet it is also a place of encounter — where language, culture, and community blend.
The Border Witness Program serves as a bridge, connecting the lived reality of communities in the Rio Grande Valley with those who wish to understand it more deeply.
Participants experience:
- Guided educational tours highlighting issues of free trade, political asylum, health, and the environment.
- Visits to refugee shelters, detention centers, colonias, and community organizations.
- Direct encounters with people whose stories reveal both the struggles and resilience of life on the frontera.
$500/person Participation Fee includes ground transportation, meals, and accommodations. Limited to 8 participants, ages 18+.
Reserve your place in this journey of service and solidarity.
