Mary Sullivan Tracy, Newton College of the Sacred Heart, 1972
I just had the opportunity to read the inspiring stories of Religious of the Sacred Heart responding to God’s call. For some, this call matched long-held desires; for some it seemed to come out of the blue. Some had to be patient while the “logistics” of the call were worked out; some had to move quickly. But all showed humility, courage, freedom and adaptability. For me, the stories encouraged me to see ways that, even in my late 60’s, the Spirit is at work in my life, constantly calling me to something new. I pray that I will be as open to our God of Surprises as the RSCJ’s have shown themselves to be!
