As a lay teacher in a Sacred Heart school I had a chance several years ago to visit St. Charles, and to see first- hand the cabin (now enclosed entirely within the school building) where St. Philippine lived and prayed in her mission to America . I think the chance to see first-hand how she lived and prayed in her mission to America. I think to see first-hand and to imagine what an incredible journey she undertook, gave me a glimpse of the faith and determination which sustained her.
