The Sacred Heart Global Citizen Program is a thematic program aimed toward an international group of young adults and/or early career professionals working in the area of social justice and social transformation. Participants represent a broad range of industries and cultural contexts. They participate in a hands-on experience where reflection, analysis and community are key program components. Past sample themes have included "Immigration" and "Ecological Transformation Through Spirituality."

The Stuart Center International Volunteer Program provides young adults ages 18-30 from abroad with a service experience in the US. Typical duration is between 1-3 months with the possibility of 6-month experiences. Volunteers live in one of the designated "welcoming communities" with Religious of the Sacred Heart; engage in a full-time (40 hours/week) service with a justice-based organization; and engage in reflection. Placements are typically in Washington, DC; the New York City metropolitan area; and New Orleans, Louisiana.
